The Alabama Counseling Association (ALCA) expresses our sorrow for the Alabamians who have contracted Covid 19. Our hearts go out to those affected and to their caring families. We respectfully grieve with those who have lost their lives during this pandemic.  ALCA is the Alabama state branch of the American Counseling Association (ACA). ACA has provided some excellent resources for assistance during this troubling time of the Coronavirus pandemic. Please click here to see those valuable resources.

During this unusual time, ALCA and its members appreciates the actions of the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling (ABEC). This licensing board has issued a letter explaining changes made by their office to address this time of the Covid 19 pandemic. Please click here to read a copy of the letter. Thank you, ABEC, for making changes that assist Alabama counselors in continuing our professional work to address the mental health needs of Alabamians during the pandemic.
