Content Session Proposals
Please join us in Mobile at the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel and Mobile Convention Center for the 2020 ALCA Annual Conference to be held November 18-20, 2020.
Content Session Proposals are currently being received by the ALCA office until the deadline of June 1, 2020.
ALCA has moved to an electronic Conference Content Session Proposal. This action has required some changes to the process. As you begin to write the electronic proposal, here are some things you will need to have on hand and ready in order to complete the electronic submission:

ALCA has moved to an electronic Conference Content Session Proposal. This action has required some changes to the process. As you begin to write the electronic proposal, here are some things you will need to have on hand and ready in order to complete the electronic submission:
- Name, Address, Phone & Email contact information for the primary presenter and up to two additional proposed presenters (limit 3 credentialed presenters published in the Conference Book)
- Resume/Vita for each proposed presenters (up to 3)
- Photo of each presenter (.jpg 200x 200 pixels format) (up to 3)
- Tie the presentation to minimally one (can choose more) of the 8 NBCC Core Content Areas:

Think about the level of your proposed presentation for the attendees:
a) Beginning, b) Intermediate, or c) Advanced.
You will be requested to identify the level best suited for the presentation

5. Title of presentation (limited to 75 characters) (Please appropriately capitalize the title)
6. Proposed Program Description (up to 35 words) to be used in the Conference Program Book if selected
7. New this year is an outline/further details section to allow proposers to tell more about their proposed presentation for use by the ALCA Conference Program Selection Committee. This could help one organize the proposal/presentation with the distance of time that passes between submitting the proposal and making a presentation as well as assist the Program Selection Committee in the decision-making process.
8. Tie the presentation to the various ALCA Divisions/Affiliates which could benefit from your proposed presentations (choose up to 3):

9. New this year is a formal presenter pledge that reads as follows: This presentation will include appropriate evidence-based, research-based, or widely accepted best practices and appropriate techniques, strategies and methods immediately useful to professional counselors, or easily adapted to the various settings. The American Counseling Association Code of Ethics will be followed. By clicking agreement all presenters agree to this pledge.
