We are keeping the prices as low as possible:
Professional ALCA Members: $40
ALCA Student members: $30
All Non-Members: $60 (Non-members can become ALCA
members up to 8:45 a.m. on the day of the workshop and
register at the lower member rate!)
Lunch is guaranteed if participants
preregister by Sept.
8th.
3 CEU for LPC can be earned for an additional
$5. Forms will be given out at end of workshop.
OUR SPEAKER:
Dr.
Paul Hard
has been a licensed
professional counselor since 1996 and an approved
supervisor since 2001. In addition to being a
member of the Auburn Montgomery
school and community counseling faculty, he
trains professional counselors
who are seeking approved supervisor status. He
currently sits on the Alabama
Board of Examiners for Counselors. In a three
hour format, Dr. Hard will provide
a workshop with two primary foci: 1) An Ethical
Overview: Revisiting the Basics”
and 2) Ethics on the Edge: Current Trends and
Issues”. Participants will be encouraged
to apply the knowledge they acquire in the
workshop to critically analyze
ethical issues they meet in their practice.
Lunch will be provided for early registrants and
door prizes, as always, will be
given throughout the workshop and business meeting.

This is the sixth year I have had NBPTS seminar sessions at
UAB to assist school counselors to prepare their portfolio
entries and study for the Assessment Center Exercises. All
sessions are on Saturday mornings from 9-12 in the UAB
Education Bldg.
The tentative dates are:(2010)Sept 25, Oct 9, Nov 6, Dec
4,(2011)Jan 8, Feb 5, March 5, April 9

Chapter I Members
The date for our Fall Meeting has been set. Mark you calendars now
and plan to attend! Re-new those memberships and encourage other
counselors in your work setting to do the same. There are so
many wonderful counselors in the Chapter I area and we need all
of you to become active members in our chapter.
